BUSTED: Suspect In High Profile Wilmington B&E Arrested In Maine — Wilmington Apple

Denn is accused of smashing a pickup truck into Jimmy’s Garage in an attempt to steal its ATM.

WILMINGTON, MA — Fugitive Shane Denn was arrested Thursday morning in Chesterville, Maine, after being on the run for the past 2 months after allegedly conducting a crime spree that included a breaking and entry in Wilmington.

On March 22, Wilmington Police report Denn broke into Jimmy’s Garage at 945 Main Street.  He allegedly drove a white GMC pickup truck into the front of the store to gain access. Denn then attempted to steal the garage’s ATM machine.

Wilmington Police issued a warrant for Denn’s arrest. He was subsequently charged at Woburn District Court with Breaking and Entering into a Building in the nighttime for a felony, Larceny from a building, Destruction of Property greater than $250 and Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle.

Denn is believed to have committed crimes in Andover and Tewksbury during this same crime spree.

Denn’s crime spree received additional attention because Foxborough Police allege he was one of the three men who robbed New England Patriots star Rob Gronkowski’s home during Super Bowl weekend.

Denn was arrested in Maine after police received a report that a male and female in a gray sedan were attempting to force their way into a residence.  Police responded and stopped located the vehicle in question, driven by Denn. Denn provided a false name and date of birth to the responding officer. Police searched the vehicle. Numerous stolen items and evidence of criminal activity were discovered.

Denn was arrested for operating without a license. Once at the Franklin County Detention Center, Denn admitted to his true identity. Denn was charged with being a Fugitive from Justice and giving a false name and address. Additional charges are pending.
