Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele believes he will stay at the club for ‘a very long time’ despite speculation linking him with Arsenal.

The Frenchman joined Barcelona from Dortmund last summer for an eye-watering £112million but injuries have plagued his debut campaign at the Camp Nou.

Dembele’s managed just 11 league appearances for the Catalans and reports in Spain have linked him with Arsenal after being benched again by Ernesto Valverde on the weekend.

However, Dembele is refusing to give up on his Barcelona dream and insists he sees his long-term future at the Camp Nou.

‘I’m not going to leave after just one season,’ Dembele told Telefoot.

‘I signed a five-year contract with Barcelona. I’ll be here for a long time.

‘I’m not at the top of my game right now. Little by little, I will return to my best.

‘I’m working on my cardio, because I get tired very quickly.’

Barcelona are on course to win La Liga but will spend big again this summer after a shock defeat to Roma in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The Spanish giants had a 4-1 aggregate lead going into the second leg but lost 3-0 in the Italian capital on a disappointing night.
