The question that no one ever asked, “What would happen if McLaren Special Operations collaborated with a Chinese fashion designer to make a supercar?” has now been answered. And that answer is one seriously cool supercar in the new Limited Edition McLaren 570GT MSO Cabbeen Collection, unveiled at the 2018 Beijing Auto Show.
Limited to only five units worldwide, the 570GT MSO Cabbeen Collection boasts a MSO Bespoke Obsidian Black paint finish, hand-painted dragon door inserts, 15-Spoke GT wheels and brake calipers all finished in Bespoke Gloss Speedline Gold.
MSO Defined carbon sill covers grace the inside the cabin, unique sculptural dragons, designed by Chinese fashion designer and entrepreneur Ziming Yang aka Mr. Cabbeen, are embroidered in gold on the Alcantara center front tunnel and rear luggage deck.
The embroidered dragons on each of the five cars were sewn by Kang Huifang, the Director of the Professional Embroidery Committee of China’s Arts and Crafts Institute and renowned for her work over four decades to preserve the art of Chao Embroidery.
“McLaren Special Operations is dedicated to providing customers with tailored choices that offer them almost endless personalisation alternatives,” commented, Ansar Ali, Managing Director, McLaren Special Operations. “As a fusion of contemporary British design style and Chinese classic art elements, the 570GT MSO Cabbeen Collection was created to satisfy Chinese customers’ desire for individualisation and is further evidence of the growing interest in MSO services in the China market.”
Under the hood and body, the McLaren Cabbeen Collection is part of the company’s Sport Series and almost identical to the new McLaren 570GT MSO Black Collection, or as I called it, the supercar Bruce Wayne would drive around Gotham City.
That means it has a a 7-speed automatic transmission and will go from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) 3.4 seconds, and 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 9.8 seconds, and will hit a maximum speed of 204 mph using its 3,799 cc V8 Twin Turbo engine which produces 562 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque.
Were “The Dragon” still around today, he too would certainly look pretty sharp tooling around in a car that’s a badass as he was.

It will also probably cost a wee bit more than the $250,000 price tag for your “standard” McLaren 570GT MSO Black Collection supercar.
