Liverpool fans express concern over Mo Salah following Chelsea loss
Supporters of Liverpool have this evening taken to Twitter to express worry over the recent performances of Mohamed Salah, after the Egyptian winger looked anonymous for the vast majority of the Reds’ clash with Chelsea.
The two sides went head to head at Stamford Bridge, in a crucial fixture in the race for a spot in next season’s Champions League.
Tottenham’s shock loss to West Brom yesterday afternoon meant that Chelsea could close the gap on their London rivals to just 2 points with a win this evening, while such a result would also leave Liverpool just a solitary point clear of Spurs.

The early exchanges this evening saw Liverpool well on top, with Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino both going close for the Reds over the course of the opening half-hour.
However, it was Chelsea who opened the scoring, through January signing Olivier Giroud, after the Frenchman did brilliantly to nod home a dinked cross from Victor Moses with 32 minutes on the clock.
And that was all she wrote in terms of goals this evening, with an uncharacteristically quiet second 45 from Liverpool’s attacking stars having eventually seen Chelsea emerge with a deserved, and potentially crucial 1-0 win.
Of the Reds’ attacking trio, Sadio Mane looked the most lively throughout proceedings at Stamford Bridge, with Mohamed Salah having looked some way short of his best once again.
The African wide-man, who has of course enjoyed a historic season to this point, has struggled to make any real impact in Liverpool’s last 3 fixtures, with large sections of the club’s fans having since expressed their concern regarding their star man following the full-time whistle this evening:
Worried about salah.. He has been poor in the last two games.. Let’s put a lid on this next week.. Its crazy even think of not winning against BHAFC

Mate have you not watched our last 3 games? Salah has been average, non existent, was terrible today

Worried that we’ve run out of steam. Salah has been unreal this season but has looked very tired and lacklustre vs Stoke, Roma & Chelsea today. We never make it easy for ourselves, two HUGE games left this season! C’mon Reds #wegoagain #LFC #CHELIV

Salah has been terrible now for 4 of the last 5 games. And it doesn’t bode well for Madrid or Brighton. Same with Firmino. Worrying times… The whole team doesn’t look confident at all. Their response to attacking onslaughts to produce attacks of their own is terrible.

Anyone else concerned how lackluster Salah has looked the last few games???

Hate to say it but Mo Salah hasn’t been the same since Stoke and I’m worried…

Anyone else worried about Salah’s continued lack of form? Coz I am

He’s been missing since the first leg against Roma. Probably the most important part of the season and he reverts back to the Mo Salah Chelsea sold. I’m very worried about our top 4 chances….

Agreed TAA is not yet #LFCmaterial. We are tired of this low quality nonsense. #Salahhas been awful since his miss against #Stoke. He needs to rest and forget this record nonsense. He is just tired and looks like it… https://t.co/Po22NZ1SiM
