Mohamed Salah vs Harry Kane

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah was again on the scoresheet for Liverpool over the weekend.

Liverpool beat Bournemouth 3-0 at Anfield on Saturday night in the Premier League.

Salah scored the second of the game to move onto 30 Premier League goals for the season.

As for Tottenham, they were beaten 3-1 by Man City at Wembley on Saturday.

Harry Kane failed to add to his goals tally against the Sky Blues.

Kane has 25 Premier League goals this season.

Salah: I want to beat Kane

So how important is it for Salah to beat Kane to be the Premier League top scorer?

The Egyptian has spoken to the press following the Bournemouth game to discuss what being the Premier League’s top marksman would mean:

Of course it is in my mind. Of course I cannot lie – it is in my mind.

But you know, you can see (on Saturday) with the team everyone tries to pass the ball to me to help me.

I am also sure that Tottenham’s players try to help Harry Kane, and also Manchester City’s try to help Sergio Aguero. It’s like that, but in the end we play as a team.

Do I want my team-mates to pass the ball more? Yes, but they pass the ball anyway!

Now we still have four (Premier League) games and they have five or six games so I have to think about my games and we see.

Top goalscorer odds

Following his goal against Bournemouth, the bookies have reacted by slashing odds on the Liverpool star topping the scoring charts.

In a clear sign that the bookies want to deter punters from betting on Salah, the Egyptian is now priced at 1/10.

As for Harry Kane, his blank against Man City has pushed the bookies to extend his odds.

Punters can now back Kane to catch Salah in the scoring charts at 13/2.
